Sounds For Fun’s
Karaoke Rules

We never intentional skip anyone, but we are human and sometimes get caught up in the fun.
If we ever skip you, bring it to our attention and we will apologize and slip you in after the current singer.

The following rules are the reason we have the fastest rotations and singers
get to sing  more times a night, than at any other Karaoke venue!

We do not put ourselves in the rotation if there are 5 or more singers in the rotation (It’s just wrong
to take songs away from the people that pay for us to be there).

1. No one loses their turn in the rotation.

But if you go outside to smoke or you are in the bathroom, we will not go outside to look for you. We will bring up the next singer, when you return we will slip you in after the singer that is singing. (This makes the rotation go faster, and it doesn’t make any singer’s waiting time between the last time they sang and the next time they sing any longer (there are still the same number of singer’s)).

2. If you give us the wrong number or song.

We will send back to get the right song and we will bring up the next singer.
When that singer is done, you will sing next. (No one loses their turn).

3. Duets… Every host has their own way of dealing with duets,
Here’s My Way:

First the rational: A song is let’s say 3min. 52sec. long… it’s 3min. 52sec. long if one person sings it or twenty people join him/her on the stage.
It doesn’t increase the time between the last time you sang and the next time you sing.

If John is in the rotation and he wants Mary (who is all so in the rotation) to sing a duet with him, it’s his 3min. 52sec. and the fact that Mary sang with John doesn’t increase your waiting time one second… and YES Mary still has her very own 3min. 52sec. coming to her and she can do as she pleases with it, And you can do
as you please with your 3min. 52sec.  (Who knows, she might ask you to sing a duet with her).

If you’re counting the number of times a singer sing’s, ask yourself this, did they get an extra turn in the rotation? Did it cause you to wait any longer between the last time you sang and the next time you sing? If someone were to ask you to sing a duet would you do it? If people were asking you to sing duets
would you be complaining?

Now, let’s all play far and have a great time!
